Growing up in DC we didn't have much — but art and barbies was my escape. I made barbie clothes, wrote on shoes, painted them, put friends' names on them, just to be different. Raised in the spirit of 80s and 90s punk rock and graffiti, I learned early that standing out is a gift.
We all possess a talent we were born with — our gift. The thing that makes us unlike anyone else in this world. Mine just happens to be creating and seeing the beauty within objects and the people around me.
